絵柄の部分は、彫りを入れ、絵付を施し、釉薬をのせ、さらに金彩で彩るという多くの工程を経て仕上げられています。

白地に鮮やかなブルー、そこに金色が加わることで、華やかさと上品さを併せ持つ贅沢な印象になっています。
一部には釉薬を盛り上げるように施し、染付ではめずらしい凹凸のある手触りも楽しめます。
