真っ白な白磁の素地に、染付のハスを描いたカップです。

薄手で軽やかなつくりに、さりげなく施した金彩がポイント。内側には釉薬を施し、外側はあえて無釉のまま仕上げた器です。焼き上げたあと丁寧に磨くことで、磁器ならではのさらりとしたマットな質感が生まれ、土の表情をそのまま味わっていただけます。

ハス絵柄は、焼くと藍色に発色する呉須という染付の絵の具で描いています。太い筆をスポイトのように操り、呉須の濃淡を柔らかく広げていく——“ダミ”という染付の伝統技法によるもの。白磁の白がより美しく映えるよう、余白を大切にした日本的な絵付けに仕上げました。

静かに佇むような存在感がありながら、日々の食卓にすっと馴染む一品です。
