真っ白な白磁の素地に、黒の呉須で椿を描いた “墨黒シリーズ” のカップ。表と裏の両面に咲く椿が、手描きならではの表情を添えています。

薄手で軽やかなつくりに、さりげなく施した金彩がポイント。内側には釉薬を施し、外側はあえて無釉のまま仕上げた器です。焼き上げたあと丁寧に磨くことで、磁器ならではのさらりとしたマットな質感が生まれ、土の表情をそのまま味わっていただけます。

椿の絵柄は、漆黒に発色する黒の呉須で描いています。太い筆をスポイトのように操り、呉須の濃淡を柔らかく広げていく——“ダミ”という染付の伝統技法によるもの。白磁の白がより美しく映えるよう、余白を大切にした日本的な絵付けに仕上げました。

静かに佇むような存在感がありながら、日々の食卓にすっと馴染む一品です。
