This Blue Mimosa Plate is decorated with delicate mimosa blossoms, painted one by one using the “Dami” technique—a traditional method of Japanese sometsuke (blue-and-white porcelain), where a thick brush is used like a dropper to create flowing strokes.

When food is placed on the plate, the flowers may be hidden, but they gently reappear once the meal is finished, offering a small moment of joy.

The plate’s versatile size makes it perfect for cookies, small treats with tea, or as a side dish plate. It can also be paired with the separately sold American Cup as a cup & saucer set. Collecting different floral patterns for family or guests allows you to change the mood of your table depending on the day or occasion.
